NIRØ, the Israel-based Techno music producer and DJ has just released an action-packed Electro single in conjunction with the Joy Group label that is titled Opus. It is one of four singles by NIRØ released in 2023, and it continues its precedent of producing compelling layered grooves that have been established since previously released tracks that include Rave Like It’s 95, FTP, and Lost Without You. Listeners will want to buckle up for this new NIRØ & Joy Group song.

NIRØ – Opus begins with a punching and accented bass groove that fades into clarity using a moving low-pass filter. A four-on-the-floor kick drum beat joins in with the bass groove shortly after its introduction. Another bass loop that is made up of speedy sixteenth notes begins to fade in following the establishment of the kick drum. This new electrifying bass loop gradually takes the focus away from the original punchy bass groove. Eventually, all of the layered grooves and beat come to a stop as a new solo synth Techno melody is introduced. The sixteenth note bass loop joins back in with this new melody not long after it appears while accompanied by a medley of voice sample drops.

As it did with the original punchy bass groove, the sixteenth-note bass loop again takes the focus away from the Techno melody. We next hear an elongated section of the sixteenth note bass loop with the kick drum as the intensity of the loop increases and decreases with the use of another moving low pass filter. A traditional drum set tom groove is next added on top of the kick drum midway through the elongated section of the bass loop. This new tom groove plus the continuing intensity being turned up on the bass loop from a moving resonance filter brings Opus to a thrilling climax. Opus then comes to its end as all layers except the sixteenth note bass loop drop out leaving the loop to bring the new NIRØ & Joy Group song out to its conclusion.
