Making something of a splash this week is Parisian trio Royale. Comprising of two brothers, Laurent and Jean-Noel Wilthien and fellow artist Mattieu Tosi, Royale present their debut single. “The Rhythm Is You” is a blend of French electro, falsetto soul vocals and a contemporary pop feel. The group have managed to merge what they love about music into its three minutes.
“The Rhythm Is You” is diverse. It’s upbeat, a clever mix of old and new and it is unashamedly Royale. Chirpy rhythms and sunny melodies stay at the forefront as its layers of grooves unfold.
