Lithuanian producer Rushkeys is one of our favorite composers of chilled out music right now, as evidenced by our coverage of his tracks Inner Flow and his mesmerizing Electronica remix of Korora’s Kivi. He also has not one, not two, but three of his songs in our Focus, Work, Productivity, Meditation, and Yoga Music by EKM.CO playlist on Spotify. And now he has a new dreamy Downtempo track to add to this list: the Rushkeys remix of Ablozé – Home.
The original version of Home was released at the end of 2024, showcasing Ablozé’s own distinctive sound that mixes guitar with House music. Born in Syria, raised in France and now based in Egypt, Ablozé describes his musical journey as one of “displacement, discovery and reinvention”, making this ‘homely’ track a particularly special one for him. Rushkeys’ version of the song takes the qualities of the song that make it so special and transform them into a serene, peaceful listening experience, making it feel as though the listener is sinking into their favorite sofa or enjoying a comforting cup of their favorite drink. His trademark gentle, percussive rhythms are a big part of this transformation, giving the song just enough momentum to keep it moving along, but never allowing the rhythms to invade the serenity of the track’s atmospheric elements. Elsewhere, simple and breathy synth melodies give the track a fresh, ethereal air, akin to stepping outside in the warm sunshine and taking a deep, revitalising breath. Long-time fans of Rushkeys will also no doubt love the gradual building of energy that occurs throughout the track; starting off as nothing more than a few gentle synth plucks, and by the time it ends, the song is steeped in swathes of beautiful atmospheric synths and intertwining melody lines.
All in all, this Rushkeys remix of Ablozé – Home is the perfect new track to add to your Organic House and dreamy Downtempo playlists. Evoking a calm and gentle atmosphere without ever losing sight of what makes the original version of the track so meaningful, it makes for another highlight in the incredible discography of this talented artist.
