Sigma & Sweetie Irie – ANOTHER ONE Continues the Day Ones Music Drum & Bass Run
Sigma and Sweetie Irie kick things off today with ANOTHER ONE, a track that wastes little time getting its rhythmic energy into gear. The production is driven by hard-hitting drums and a weighty low-end, and Irie’s vocal gives the track a lively, unmistakable punch. Rather than sitting in the background, the vocal becomes part of the track’s rhythm, helping to push the arrangement forward as the percussion continues underneath. It’s a confident slice of DnB that demonstrates why these artists remain such reliable names in the genre, particularly Sigma, who have previously brought us tracks like Only You with SACHA.

Blossom – Loosen Up Blends Vocal Hooks With Melodic Drum & Bass
Blossom takes things in a more melodic direction with Loosen Up, pairing a strong vocal hook with polished Drum and Bass production. The track has plenty of movement in its percussion, but there’s a smoother quality to the arrangement, with melodic elements giving the heavier drums something more spacious to work around. Its vocal melodies in particular make it an immediately accessible track, while the production ensures there is plenty of energy in reserve for the dancefloor. In short, this is a track that sits comfortably between catchy songwriting and contemporary DnB.

Madface – Lonely Balances Euphoric Melody With Dancefloor DnB
Finally, Madface brings the euphoric side of Drum and Bass to the forefront with the dancefloor banger Lonely. The track builds its atmosphere around emotive melodic elements before the drums and the bass give it a much more physical edge. There’s a satisfying contrast between the uplifting musical passages and the harder-hitting rhythm section too, giving Lonely plenty of momentum without losing its melodic focus.
Alongside the vocal-driven energy of Sigma and Sweetie Irie – ANOTHER ONE, and the more melodic approach of Blossom – Loosen Up, Madface – Lonely offers a fresh and slightly different take on the modern Drum and Bass sound. And don’t forget, you can always find plenty of epic Drum and Bass music at EKM.CO!
