Pixel Terror is slowly taking over the Dubstep music scene with one outstanding release after another. Known for their blissfully chaotic sound, the duo has never failed to wow the fans with their monstrous tunes such as “Imperial,” ‘Chroma,” and “Sleepless.” In July, the group dropped a face-melting stunner called, “Elysium.” It is now the lead track of the brand new “Pixel Terror – Empire EP.” The record features three new songs as well, “Underworld,” “Meridian,” and “Wildwood.” All three of these tunes pack a real sonic punch but this feature focuses on our two picks “Underworld” and “Wildwood.” “Pixel Terror – Underworld” is a catchy and unique track that just hits differently. Whereas “Pixel Terror – Wildwood” is a bit more on a melodic side, but still hits just as hard.
To be honest, “Pixel Terror – Empire EP” has blown our minds. Every song on this record is fresh, invigorating, and loud – just the way we like it! The EP’s track, “Pixel Terror – Underworld” is a lethal number that will attack your senses with full force. It opens with robotic vocal snippets before razor-sharp synths and huge leads are introduced that will hit you like a fireball of intense energy. The track has two massive drops with different bass patterns that are cleverly fused with glitchy elements. It also has an enigmatic breakdown that will surprise you.
“Pixel Terror – Wildwood” is a fiery track that the duo has crafted flawlessly. The song kicks off with thundering drums layered over melodic synths and smooth vocal effects. This badass tune will create an inescapable aura around the listeners, commanding every bit of their attention. The track also features two earth-shattering drops that are designed with menacing basslines and filthy leads.
Issued via Bassrush Records, the “Pixel Terror – Empire EP” is a startling effort that showcases the insane production skills of the duo.
