His powerful, lyrical tracks have a huge and distinctive sound that is as emotional as it is powerful. ‘Chasing Time‘ is big on feelings from the word go. A lonely, melancholy guitar riff echoes around you. KRUS3 creates an enormous sense of space and atmosphere with just the lightest touch. The vocalist makes her first appearance with her words gliding effortlessly over a distant rhythm. The Pop EDM vibe concedes as the track changes its overall energy. Some heavier drums take us in a less conventional direction; although it’s short-lived. A gorgeous, melodic break gives the track room to breathe. The only things left are the vocalist and some choice instrumental elements. The tension rises and we’re taken right to the edge. Then, a huge Future Bass drop hits us, hard. At last, all the anticipation you felt in the first minute of the track was completely worth it.Â
If this is what we can expect from new KRUS3 music in the future then we look forward to hearing a lot more of it. His soulful blend of power and emotion is transportive but all-encompassing. Future Bass 2021 should be a diverse and interesting scene as it’s appeal goes beyond clubs and public performances. It’s as good on headphones as it is on a festival stage. ‘Chasing Time’ is no different. With this in mind, KRUS3 is set to wow us in the year ahead.
