Is This the Future of EDM? TATE SEDAR Drops This Is Post-EDM

TATE SEDAR unveiled his long-awaited & avant-gardiste EP "This is Post-Edm" featuring the new single "Dream" w/ Otto Palmborg.

TATE SEDAR – This is Post-Edm is the long-awaited avant-gardiste EP from a truly iconic artist. Known for tracks including Overload and Wish I Could, as well as his Baddadan x SONG REQUEST x dashstar* mash-up and remix of Titus 1’s My Fire, SEDAR has built up a significant following in recent years – a following that we predict will only be added to as a result of this new release.

The EP has five tracks in total, the first of which, San Francisco, was announced and released as a standalone single last year. The second track on the EP, Emotions, has also been released as a single; it features the dynamic rapping abilities of fellow musician Psychedelic, and shows SEDAR blending Tech House and Hip Hop vibes with ease. The key word to describe this track is energetic, with bold electronic textures and pulsing rhythms making this an automatic hit on dancefloors around the world.

The next track on the TATE SEDAR – This is Post-Edm EP is Our Goodbye, which puts an upbeat, optimistic take on the break-up song genre. Blending summery vibes with emotionally resonant lyrical sentiments courtesy of vocalist Liv Kennedy, this track is surely one of the high points of this varied and dynamic release.

The EP closes with two further tracks: Coming Home (I.M.U.) and Dream. The former retains the Tech House and avant-gardiste vibes of the previous tracks on the release, whilst also bringing a touch of melancholy to the proceedings, seemingly serving as a love letter to SEDAR’s past whilst embracing the recent developments in his musical sound. Dream, meanwhile, features Otto Palmborg on vocals and brings vibrant melodies over a bed of shimmering synths, closing TATE SEDAR – This is Post EDM with a cinematic and emotionally resonant finale.
