Mental Frank – Knell & Knott Finds Light in Deep House Motion

We have reached the midway point in the gradual release of the new album of Deep Organic House & Electronica music from Barcelona-based DJ and producer Mental Frank, titled Corrupted Beauty. May has delivered the fourth of eight tracks from the album, with each new month bringing a new track to light until the album’s full release. This new single from the forthcoming Corrupted Beauty album is titled Knell & Knott, and it adds a new direction to the album’s conceptual arc. As the earlier released tracks from Mental Frank – Corrupted Beauty have emotionally taken us from turbulence to a determined response, followed by second-guessing, Knell & Knott shows the first sign of positivity, drowning out the backseat drivers questioning the response’s trajectory.

Inside Mental Frank’s Deep Organic House Electronica Sound

Knell & Knott opens with another deep and rich orchestral ambience like its predecessor, Genesis of Instinct. Now added to that ambience is a ringing tremolo of a hammered-dulcimer, creating percussive motion within it. As the tremolos mostly sustain a single note in the intro, it then turns melodical just before the drop of the deep and rich kick and bass line. On top of the orchestral ambience, also accompanying the hammered dulcimer tremolo melodies are two dueling call and answer monotone synth sequences that are spaced a minor third apart from each other in their sonic conversations. At the three-minute mark of the track, the ambience and melody fade out, leaving the two dueling synth sequences in the spotlight as impressive editing techniques of swells, distortion, and filtering are displayed before the melody and a new vibrating bassline join in, taking the track to new, enriched heights, completely blanketing your senses with ear candy. New percussive melodical sequences are next established during this section as the track continues to build in intensity before fading out to its completion.

Mental Frank – Knell & Knott is now available for streaming, and it is encouraged that you experience and follow all of the album’s tracks to this point in order of release, opening with Edge Of Doubt, followed by Tender Sauvagerie, Genesis of Instinct, and now the newly released Knell & Knott as you await more releases to come from the Corrupted Beauty album over the next four months.
