The highly anticipated release is based around the artist’s distinctive spoken-word vocal and is set to come out on the 21st of March this year, following in the footsteps of his acclaimed 2024 debut EP Synthetic Heartbreak.
The Suli Breaks – Synthetic Reflections EP is made up of three tracks, each of which offer thought-provoking lyrical sentiments with potent electronic rhythms and contemplative vibes. The lead single North London is a highlight, blending UK Garage sensibilities with taut beats and sparse but impactful synth melodies.
“This was the sounds of my youth / this was the sounds of my environment”
Says Suli at the beginning of the track, and you can really hear the nostalgia in his voice. The third track Correlations continues on this theme, with ethereal synth pads and female vocals keeping the melodic side of the track in check, whilst rhythmic hi-hats keep the track rooted firmly in the EDM genre. It’s another moment for Suli’s lyrics to shine too;

He says, leaving us with the feeling that he is trying to come to terms with elements of his past. Virus, the opening track on the Suli Breaks – Synthetic Reflections EP, lends the release an added sense of urgency; the lyrics still reflect on the past somewhat, but are accompanied by faster-paced, more insistent Techno-inspired beats. It’s another defining moment on a release that never misses its target, providing music to dance to, and lyrics that make you think about your own life and where you have come from.
