Get ready Star Troopers because the first edition of Stargate Festival 2024 is happening this weekend on February 17th and will be staged at the KL Base SG Besi in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The line-up features 5 international acts including double Platinum DJ & producer Will Sparks, one of Australia’s biggest dance music exports Uberjak’d, Trance legend Mark Sixma, Trance music duo & producers XiJaro & Pitch, and London-based Electronic music artist, DJ, & Music Producer Leena Punks.

The local lineup will feature misterAriffin, Ramsey Westwood, Bass Agents, Haikal Ahmad, Osman Mousa, and SMASH on the main stage. The second stage, aptly called Tranceland, will feature Ajam Shaz, BARD, FBSJ, Hard Sham, Hardboyy, Juicy Jess, Kevin, RKMY (featuring BIE), RALPH’S, and Sam Rexo.

Where is Stargate Festival 2024 hosted in Malaysia and how to get there?

The festival is strategically located at the KL Base SG Besi in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The nearest stations are Chan Sow Lin MRT & LRT. It is also possible to simply get a Grab or taxi from pretty much anywhere around Kuala Lumpur to get to the festival.

Kuala Lumpur is an easy-access location for urban travelers, music lovers, and festival-goers from all over Asia, located only a few hours away from Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. Will Sparks

Will Sparks’ name has forever shaped the global electronic dance music scene. Pioneering Melbourne Bounce, a sub-genre of EDM affectionately named after his Australian hometown; making countless laps around the globe playing the world’s most reputable stages including Ultra Music Festival, Creamfields, and Tomorrowland as well as residencies at some of the best global venues. Will is finding himself time and time again at the top of the dance music charts with double Platinum records and amassing an inconceivable 2.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify all before the ripe young age of 28, Sparks knew there was something more to life for him from a very young age, and boy did the industry know that too.

The double Platinum producer has shaken up the charts as much as he’s shaken up the streaming world. One of Australia’s biggest dance music exports, Ben Grzywacz aka Uberjak’d continues to stun audiences all over the globe with his frenetic stage presence and unique blend of high-energy club weapons.

Originally hailing from Adelaide, Uber is best known for being a pioneer of the bounce sound, crafting an onslaught of Beatport topping cuts. He’s no stranger to the big labels, signing his signature style of bounce, psy, hard and anything-in-between to heavyweight labels such as Spinnin’ Records, Dim Mak, Mixmash & Dharma, as well as dropping relentless fire via his own imprint Jak’d Recordings. Ben has also collaborated with distinguished artists such as Deorro, Will Sparks, Laidback Luke & Joel Fletcher with these dance-floor gems amassing a whopping 15 million streams online and counting.

Boasting a plethora of international tours of Asia, Europe, Canada, and North America, Uberjak’d has grown his fanbase at high-profile festivals and clubs such as Tomorrowland, WMC, Creamfields, Zouk & Pacha Ibiza to name a few.

Mark Sixma

Mark Sixma is an artist whose music is known as the heart of dance music on a global scale. Born and raised in the capital of dance – Breda, the Dutch city that provided the world scene leaders such as Tiesto and Hardwell. He is responsible for some of the most revered timeless dance music and EDM anthems.

Mark Sixma is one of the only dance music artists to knock himself off the #1 spot in Beatports Trance chats, claiming both the #1 and #2 positions simultaneously. Besides his original tracks, which have been featured in video games and movies, Mark also collaborated with Armin van Buuren, W&W, and KSHMR to name a few.

On the live front, the long-time DJ/Producer brought his highly energetic performances to the biggest venues and the world’s largest dance music festivals as Creamfields, TomorrowWorld, A State of Trance, and Ultra Music Festival whilst gaining support from the majority of the top DJ’s in the world on his originals and monumental remixes.

Xijaro & Pitch

XiJaro & Pitch are the trance music producer/DJ duo of Xander van Dommelen and Anthony Reyers. Formed in 2014, they are best known as the musical minds behind dozens of spine-tingling, uplifting releases on some of the most prestigious labels in trance and also as the creators of the weekly show “Chasing Dreams”, which is currently taking the Twitch trance community by storm. Most notably their work has already seen them be hand-picked by Armin van Buuren for his famous “A State Of Trance” mix compilation as well as landing them the opportunity to play at the coveted Luminosity Beach Festival.

2023 started with a bang for rising DJ/ Producer Leena Punks with a second Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 by Charlie Hedges for ‘Dawn of the Dead’. 2022 was also a busy year for the young artist. After releasing on New State, a feature on LP Giobbi’s compilation on Insomniac records, and a remix on Stress records, her AnjunaBeats track debut ‘On The Floor’ was picked by Charlie Hedges as BBC Radio One’s Hottest record and gained lots of support from Jaguar, Sarah Story, Adele Roberts and Ben Malone on KISS FM. While Jack Saunders made On The Floor his Next Wave feature on Future Artists. Her next single “Mirage’ on Stress also did really well on Radio 1 and got picked by Ben Malone as his Spotlight feature. It also got great support from DSP’s including New Music Friday, UK House Music, and Trance Mission and featured on Lane 8’s Winter 2022 Mixtape.

After touring Greece, and Ibiza, she finished off the summer with a spot on the A&B Group Therapy Weekender with additional gigs in Belfast and L.A and performing Printworks, E1, Brixton Jamm, and Standon Calling alongside Katy B and Jaguar as well as Tomorrowland this July. Lots of new music coming in 2024 on Stress, AnjunaBeats, Armada, Good Company and This Never Happened.
