A first-time collaboration between London DJ / Producer Skream and Australian DJ / Producer Partiboi69 is set to have a huge presence in the club and festival scenes in 2025. This new Techno House single is being released under the HARD Recs label and is titled Pound Town. The track’s innuendo-laden hook will soon make its way into every DJ’s rotation. This comes as no surprise as both artists are well-established with Skream bursting onto the scene in 2006 with a self-titled album and several high-volume tracks that followed which includes a 2011 remix of In For The Kill by La Roux, and a more recent 2023 remix of the Charli xcx banger Von dutch. Partiboi69 has established his following since coming onto the scene in 2018 with hits that include No Place Like Home from 2022 and a collaboration track from 2021 with Juicy Romance that professes their love of ketamine titled K On My D + C.
Skream & Partiboi69 – Pound Town opens with a quick chorus of digitally altered fanfare-like vocals before the kick drum combined with a hi-hat beat and a mind-etching bass line takes the stage. The repeating vocal drops are straightforward in what their plans for the evening are and are intoxicating to the listener who will not be able to fight the urge to chant along with them. While the track’s verses get you ready for action and in its groove zone, its brief breakdown section offers a quick release that is followed by increased energy as the song’s repeated namesake chants combined with a drum riser build back to one final euphoric round of its main section.
Pound Town, the new Skream & Partiboi69 Techno House song has found itself a good home on the HARD Recs label. It is the same label that released the vaunted album Human by Nitepunk which features the entertainingly unstable track Hyperdust. HARD Recs is also the label for the ROSSY and Jazz Cartier single KARMA which is a savage amalgamation of Festival/EDM Trap energy, and the Rohaan Dubstep single with dangerous amounts of bass titled Sticks & Stones. Skream & Partiboi69 – Pound Town is another feather in the cap for HARD Recs as this irresistible track is about to explode.
