We Collide is the brand new modern classical electronic song from Grandbrothers, a name you might already be familiar with on the basis of tracks such as What We See and All The Unknown. Specifically, We Collide is lifted from the duo’s upcoming 2025 Elsewhere album, and is accompanied by an exciting new Grandbrothers music video that you can check out at the link below. Fans might also be interested to know that the track comes out on the duo’s brand new imprint _and others_, which presumably will showcase the pair’s clear love for music that fuses classical and electronic styles.
We Collide finds Grandbrothers very much on top form; it is a self-professed “dynamic” track that features “sleek transitions and inner tension building slowly throughout”. A significant part of what makes the track so dynamic is its focus on the rhythmic repetition of a single piano note, something that lends the track both a kinetic and an introspective energy. Alongside this piano note are bubbling electronic textures and gently fizzling rhythms, both of which come together to create a sense of motion that feels undeniably cinematic – even more so than your average modern classical electronic song.
In short, Grandbrothers – We Collide feels intimate yet expansive, meditative yet steeped in an urgency that drives the track along with significant momentum. This release has also got us equally excited for Grandbrothers’ upcoming 2025 Elsewhere album, which we have no doubt will set the same high standards, and continue to blur the lines between fresh, organic instrumentation and cinematic, electronic innovation. We also strongly urge you to check out Grandbrothers’ excellent music video for We Collide. Directed by Austrian filmmaker Rupert Höller, the video is both striking, atmospheric and intense, capturing everything that makes the track itself so exhilarating to listen to.
