Dutch music producer and sample creator Marc Bandecchi – better known as Arcando – has been on a roll ever since Martin Garrix played his remix of Alok, The Chainsmokers and Mae Stephens’ 2023 collaborative track Jungle at the Ultra Miami main stage. The remix literally propelled Arcando into the spotlight, and he has since gone on to work with numerous legendary names in the industry including Jax Jones, Tom Walker and Two Door Cinema Club. 2024, meanwhile, sees the release of Arcando & Gracie Van Brunt – Get So Lost, a powerful Drum and Bass track that features Californian vocalist Van Brunt (who has also recently been featured on tracks including Up Until the Light by Highlnd and Taylor Kade).
Clocking in at under three minutes, Arcando & Gracie Van Brunt – Get So Lost doesn’t have much time to make an impact, so cuts to the chase straight away with the vocals gliding over moody, dramatic synths and a fast but simple rhythm that slowly starts to build in intensity. By the 30-second mark it’s clear that we’re soon going to be in for a powerful D&B drop, which Arcando delivers with energy and finesse using a gritty, blaring melody and clattering rhythms. Van Brunt’s voice is soon pushed to the forefront again, her impassioned cries of “I get so lost in you” sounding as though she really means what she’s singing. The track then tactfully reverts to a more mellow section for its outro, with some ethereal vocals and synths bringing a feeling of resolution alongside a persistent Drum and Bass rhythm.
Essentially, Get So Lost delivers exactly what we have come to expect from these two established and respected artists – a well-produced, energetic banger that brings some intense Drum and Bass flavours. The future looks bright for Arcando and Van Brunt, and with any luck we’ll be seeing some more collaborative tracks from them in the future.
