The Regulators are a duo composed of Atlis and SWGGRBCK, both Chicago natives who have been producing for the past two years. Though the duo is newly assembled, they have already released remixes of Bassnectar, Waka Flocka Flame, and Yolanda Be Cool. Specializing in heavy bass productions, both of these artists are extremely talented. Atlis brings his audio engineering background and SWGGRBCK brings a vast experience in live production, having held three weekly residencies and established himself in the Chicago scene.
Recently, the Regulators released a remix of Travis Barker & Yelawolf’s song Whistle Dixie. To say that their remix is an upgrade from the original song is an understatement. This duo delivers a high octane remix which incorporates a heavier and more refined bass, a stronger emphasis on the distinctive whistling melody, and finally a healthy dose of lyrical distortion. The styles of both individual artists and attention to detail really come out in the track and the audio engineering is superb.
