As one half of the Nantes-based duo Silience, Romain Delcroix has been releasing music since 2015, combining Melodic House tendencies with rich, multilayered electronics. Now he’s set to release a solo single, Romain Delcroix – Asturias, which takes the evocative feel of much of Silience’s material and combines it with fresh, energetic beats to create an epic new Romain Delcroix Melodic Techno anthem.
According to Delcroix himself, the track was inspired by “the soul-stirring melodies of Spanish guitar echoing through the narrow alleys of Seville”, with its “passion and intensity” being based around the movements of flamenco dancers. As a result, Romain Delcroix – Asturias is chock full of bold, fiery melodies which evolve as the track progresses, signifying the growing intensity of the dancers as they move through their routines. Also present are some hot and heavy Techno rhythms, which start off as sultry and understated before growing into vibrant, explosive beats as the drops hit. But although the melodies are soul-stirring and the beats are fiery and confident, the real key to the appeal of this track is the atmosphere it creates – at times you can really begin to imagine that you are basking in the rays of the hot Seville sun, watching flamenco dances unfold in front of your very eyes. The artist achieves this feel in Romain Delcroix – Asturias by cleverly utilising beds of ethereal, atmospheric synthesisers underneath the other instruments, adding an extra layer to the track’s sound and lending it a feeling of feverish passion in the process.
If you’re a fan of Silience’s distinctive brand of Melodic House, or indeed just Melodic House and Techno in general, you’ll definitely want to check out Romain Delcroix – Asturias. With its bold beats, majestic melodies and underlying feeling of fiery intensity, this epic new Romain Delcroix Melodic Techno anthem will genuinely have you feeling as though you’ve been transported to the sunny streets of Seville.
