5 million subscribers for Dutch Youtube channel
Hilversum, april 8, 2014 – Spinnin’ TV is the world’s best viewed dance channel on Youtube after going beyond the 5 million subscribers mark. Of all the music channels, regardless of genre, Spinnin’ TV now has the 18th spot. The channel of the record label Spinnin’ Records from Hilversum has only competition from pop superstars like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry who all have their own personal channels. Spinnin’ TV shows among others video clips of Sander van Doorn, Martin Garrix and Afrojack. The subscribers come mainly from the USA, Europe and South America.
For Spinnin” TV it means being able to reach out to 5 million subscribers that their objective of becoming’ the MTV of dance music has suddenly come a lot closer. Spinnin’ TV was founded in 2007, initially as a convenient way to be able to send video clips via email. A year later when Spinnin’ Records found that people had started using Youtube for mass music consumption they decided to use and invest in the ultimate Youtube promotion platform for their artists. By signing the right releases and having a highly structured strategy for promoting their videos the channel reached the 3 million subscribers mark in december last year and it broke the limit of 2 billion views on over 5000 videos on the channel. It is the only Dutch channel in the global top 100 of most subscribed Youtube channels.
