Three continents combined to produce the new Melodic House and Techno banger Memory Leak which is being released under Interstellar Recordings. The trio of DJs / producers on Memory Leak include London-based Henri Bergmann, South Africa-based Jono Stephenson, and Layla Benitez from New York. Memory Leak is the first time the artists have worked together on a single with Bergmann coming into the project with recent top tracks that include a collaboration with Underspreche titled Creature from 2020 and Protection from 2022 which is one of many Bergmann collaborations with fellow London artist WENNINK. Jono Stephenson has been on the scene since debuting in 2017 and he caught our attention with his heartfelt and soulful Techno solo release from 2023 titled I Can’t Save You. Layla Benitez is no stranger to collaborations as she came into the project with top hits that include Fizzy Pop from 2022 which was produced alongside Max Milner, and No Place To Go from 2024 which was produced alongside Eynka.

Henri Bergmann & Jono Stephenson & Layla Benitez – Memory Leak begins with the track’s robotic voice greeting you from the start as it will be your guide throughout the track’s entirety. No time is wasted in the introduction as a quick buildup goes right into the main groove that is made up of a pumping kick and bass combination with sequencing synths filtering the melody in and out. The robotic voice remains the focus during the song’s main groove section as traction-laden synth swells fly past. Memory Leak next features an impressive mid-track breakdown that opens with the robotic guide continuing its chant while an ostinato bass pattern keeps the motion afloat. Turbulent swelling synths accompany the bass pattern adding intensity as the robotic voice keeps its harsh timbre but goes from monotone to melodic. The beat crescendos back in leading up to a brilliant and satisfying riser that culminates with the final drop of the main groove section that now focuses on the new swelling synths from the breakdown section. The robotic voice returns once more following the breakdown synth motif focus and guides the listener and the track to its completion.
