If you’re on the look out for one of the biggest mash-ups of 2024, then don’t worry – we’ve got you covered! The Baddadan x SONG REQUEST x dashstar* (TATE SEDAR Mash-Up) fits this description like no other track you will hear this year, inviting listeners to soak up the party vibes of three EDM anthems that go so well together, it’s difficult to believe that they haven’t had this treatment before! As further testament to TATE SEDAR’s talent in this regard, the track reached number 11 on the Hypeddit Bass House chart and has already been featured in countless social media videos online, some of which have gone viral.
This infectious track came about when SEDAR was looking for “all kinds of transitions in a ‘hard’ set between House, Trap and Techno”. He then realized that three tracks which were already in his playlist – Knock2 aka Richard Nakhonethap’s remix of Baddadan by Chase & Status, Nakhonethap’s track dashstar* and Ray Volpe’s SONG REQUEST – would fit together like a glove, resulting in this highly energetic mash-up.
The track starts off with a tension-inducing build-up, brought on by rich, multilayered synths and treated vocals. The synths gradually become bigger and more grandiose, before the House-style percussion comes in to create another huge build-up. A final increase in tension follows before the drop finally hits, with hardcore Bass House-style synths erupting into a ball of exhilaration and energy.
Dedicated TATE SEDAR fans will no doubt already be aware of some of the producer’s most respected releases to date, including San Francisco, Overload, and his remix of Titus1‘s My Fire. This new mash-up of Baddadan, SONG REQUEST and dashstar*, however, is unlike anything SEDAR has ever done before, and it will no doubt bring him further acclaim from the global House music scene.
