Skrillex New Album: Everything You Need to Know

Skrillex performing live, promoting his 2025 album

Skrillex released new Dubstep music in the form of his fourth studio album, the catchily titled F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3. Comprising a whopping 34 tracks structured as a continuous DJ mix over the course of 46 minutes, the album saw Skrillex dipping into genres alongside Dubstep such as Techno and Drum & Bass, also supporting the album with a tour and several festival appearances.

The new Skrillex Dubstep album arrived with little warning, dropping as a genuine surprise release and immediately sparking conversation across the world of Electronic music. Its chaotic title, rapid-fire pacing and genre-hopping structure really made it feel like a high-energy club set captured in studio form. Across the 34 tracks listeners are thrown through a whirlwind of short and punchy ideas, with many lasting barely over a minute before transitioning into the next. Tracks like SPITFIRE, THINGS I PROMISED, VOLTAGE, and BOOSTER showcase the record’s hyperactive pacing, while other moments lean into heavier Dubstep drops or fast Techno rhythms that keep the mix constantly shifting. Interestingly, the record is also likely to be Skrillex’s last on the Atlantic label, with the producer making several public comments before the release of the album about his frustration with the label.

Skrillex’s Full Album Discography: From Recess to Now

Skrillex’s catalogue of studio albums so far reflects the different phases of his career. His debut album, Recess, arrived in 2014 during the peak of his early popularity, mixing his signature Dubstep sound with elements of the Hip-Hop, House and Pop genres. After that, Skrillex largely stepped away from full-length albums for a while, focusing instead on collaborations, production work and standalone releases.

He returned in 2023 with two contrasting albums released back-to-back, the first being Quest for Fire, a club-focused Electronic record, and the second being Don’t Get Too Close, which leaned more heavily into melodic and vocal-driven material. The new Skrillex album F*CK YOU SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3 continues his experimental streak but also marks something of a return to his Dubstep roots, with much of the music revisiting the heavy bass and explosive drops that defined his original sound. Skrillex still goes on tour regularly too, and we recommend you catch one of his shows soon so you can hear some of this epic new material being played live!
