2025 has been an excellent year for Afro House, not simply because of the sheer number of tracks in this genre that have been released, but also because of the extent to which the genre has evolved and matured. With this in mind, we wanted to bring together some of our favourite Afro House tracks of the year – not necessarily those which have sold the most copies or racked up the most Spotify streams, but rather those which we really think you should check out if you haven’t done so already! The list contains five tracks in total, and for us they perfectly reflect the depth and richness that the Afro House genre as a whole has showcased throughout 2025.

First up is Only Light by PRVNA. Setting a reflective tone, the track combines warm, organic rhythms with subtle melodic layers that slowly unfold, drawing the listener into a hypnotic and deeply atmospheric listening experience. The second track on our favorites list, Dumday and Victor Perry’s Hold Me, puts a Dance Pop twist on the Afro House genre, demonstrating the duo’s versatility through soulful vocals, steady percussion, and an emotive groove that feels intimate and expansive.

Patasa by Anyasa, Lost Stories and Indo Warehouse injects a vibrant, cross-cultural energy into the mix, weaving traditional influences (such as Sathak Kalyani’s stunning vocals) with modern production to create a track that feels timeless yet forward-thinking. The fourth track on our favorites list is Mozambo and Andot’s Stay, which leans into the genre’s emotional core by pairing restrained, rolling rhythms with a powerful sense of longing. Finally, the Odious Love Remix of Stamina by Oluwa Damilola brings a darker, more driving edge to our list, reworking the original into a potent dancefloor highlight that thrives on tension and release.

Balancing groove with emotion and innovation, while always staying rooted in the genre’s unmistakable rhythmic identity, we truly believe these five tracks are some of the best tracks of the year, highlighting the continued evolution and relevance of Afro House.

🌐#5 PRVNA – Only Light

South London-based artist PRVNA has been making waves on the electronic music scene recently, with her unique blend of Afro House and her distinctive, soulful vocals. She’s recently dropped a new track, PRVNA – Only Light, which perfectly blends these two musical features together whilst exploring a darker sound that was not quite as palpable in some of her earlier work. Released on Soundplate Records, this new PRVNA Afro Tech / House music track, produced with DJ Naughty, is accompanied by an incredible music video, which embraces the track’s themes of darkness and light whilst also showcasing the artist’s own distinctive aesthetic.

Returning to the track itself, PRVNA – Only Light is built around a entrancing Afro Tech / House beat that helps to establish a solid groove from the outset. Deep, resonant basslines bring some sultry, moody vibes, which in turn are offset by a subtle but catchy melodic hook that keeps the track’s energy levels high.

“I started DJing this summer and it changed my perception of music, and I saw myself lean into darker, uplifting Afro tech sounds”.

The artist herself says of the inspiration behind PRVNA – Only Light.

For her, the track “was a big move to get back to the dance floor, to feel the emotions and to release them all”. The track is certainly a cathartic listen, particularly the vocal refrain “when darkness seems to be my only light”, which PRVNA delivers with both elegance and feeling.

In short, this new PRVNA Afro Tech / House music track on Soundplate Records (and its eye-catching music video) make a perfect addition to the slew of brilliant records in this genre that have been coming out of the London club scene in recent years. Indeed, if you’re a fan of the genre already, we predict that this track will be finding its way onto your playlists in no time!

🌐#4 – Dumday & Victor Perry – Hold Me

We hope you’re ready for one of the best summer Afro House songs of 2025, because that’s exactly what Dumday and Victor Perry have produced with their new release Hold Me. For those not already in the know, Dumday is an Italy-based Progressive producer and performer, whilst Victor Perry is a New York-based singer-songwriter who has been compared to the likes of Michael Jackson and The Weeknd. With this collaboration, meanwhile, they have created an iconic Dance Pop release that will make the perfect music for your summer beach party!

Dumday & Victor Perry – Hold Me is an infectious example of Dance Pop music that sounds like it was tailored for a beach or pool party, firstly because it instantly grabs your attention. Its pulsating beat is both smooth and hypnotic, making it perfect to get people moving on a warm summer evening. Perry’s voice is silky and soulful, gliding effortlessly over the rhythms with a subtle but undeniable swagger, whilst the catchiness of his vocal melodies lend the track an undeniable universal appeal.

If you’re looking for feel-good Dance Pop music to brighten your beach party, then Dumday and Victor Perry’s Hold Me is the track for you. Its infectious groove makes it one of the best summer Afro House songs of 2025, whilst also bringing in those danceable, catchy elements to keep things fresh. Its production is polished and Progressive, keeping the summer vibes flowing and evoking images of golden sunsets, whilst Perry’s emotive vocals add just the right touch of warmth and sunshine.

In short, it is certainly not your average summer hit, with layered percussion, deep basslines, and atmospheric synths creating a rich, textured soundscape that elevates the track one step above a lot of other music in this genre that is out there right now!

🌐#3 – Anyasa, Lost Stories, Indo Warehouse, Sarthak Kalyani – Patasa

Patasa is the extraordinary new Indian and Afro House track from Anyasa and Lost Stories, which places Punjabi folk vocals courtesy of Sarthak Kalyani over an exhilarating electronic music backdrop. Handled by the record label Indo Warehouse, this Indian House release is so distinctive, it is surely about to make big waves in the world of EDM.

🔊 Patasa Redefines Modern Indian Electronic Music with its Indo Warehouse Afro House Style

Blending the earthy textures of Punjabi folk music with classic, rolling Afro House grooves, even from the first few seconds Patasa stands out from the crowd as a bold cultural fusion. The sound is built around syncopated percussion, with tight hi-hats, weighty basslines, and interweaving drum patterns giving the music its forward momentum. As the song unfolds, momentary breaks that bring a feeling of tension and release show that the song has been crafted for the dancefloor, but the overall sound is always that potent combination of Indian and Afro House music.

💿 How Punjabi Folk Vocals Blend Seamlessly With Patasa’s Indian Afro House Groove

Few artists would likely think to include Punjabi folk vocals in an electronic music track, but Anyasa and Lost Stories pull it off effortlessly on Patasa, building the song around Sarthak Kalyani’s stunning vocal chops. Layered with subtle reverb and delay, the vocals help to create a sense of spaciousness that contrasts incredibly well with the track’s grounded low-end, whilst textural elements elsewhere ensure that the listener’s attention never strays for one moment. The plucked, staccato lead lines of the track nod to both Indian classical music and contemporary Afro House, rendering Patasa a track that is bound to keep fans of both genres coming back for more.

All in all, there is little doubt that the Indo Warehouse label have surpassed themselves with this unique release, blending Indian House with Afro House in a way that feels both instantly exhilarating and utterly seamless.

Stay is a brand new chill Afro House release from Mazambo and Antdot on Dawn Patrol Records, and with its deep and melodic production style, it is a track that is bound to appeal to Afro House newcomers as much as it does to veteran fans of the genre. Blending together the styles of Mazambo, a French duo who has performed at several iconic venues worldwide, and Antdot, a highly influential Brazilian artist, Stay highlights the strengths of both collaborators whilst also carving out a shared musical direction that feels both smooth and emotive.

🔊 How Stay Expands Mozambo & Antdot’s Deep & Chill Melodic Afro House Sound

Stay builds on Mozambo and Antdot’s signature approaches to deep Afro House, combining deep, hypnotic grooves with an understated elegance. The percussion is crisp but subtle, with layered shakers and a warm kick pattern creating organic and fluid grooves. Over the top of this, airy synth pads and evolving melodic lines drift seamlessly, adding emotional depth without overpowering the rhythms that drive the track forward. Subtle vocal textures are handled with restraint, appearing as gentle, almost ethereal accents that enhance the track’s immersive atmosphere rather than draw the attention away from it. Elsewhere, the track’s arrangement unfolds gradually, with small variations in rhythm and melody introduced throughout Stay’s four and a half minute duration to keep listeners engaged.

💿 Melodic Layers Shaping Mozambo & Antdot’s Afro House Style

At the heart of this new chill Afro House release on Dawn Patrol Records are a series of richly textured melodic layers, which define the track’s atmospheric and hypnotic sound. Each layer is carefully balanced, allowing the percussion and bass to maintain their drive while the melodies add subtle emotional elements that guide the listener through the track.

In sum, as a new Deep and Melodic Afro House track from Mozambo and AntdotStay showcases refined production and a signature musical style that blends hypnotic grooves with emotive melodic textures, making it a standout release for both longtime fans and newcomers to the genre.
