Carl Louis - Iris

We are very proud to have the chance to premiere “Carl Louis – Iris“, a transporting song that blends the boundaries between Dreampop, Chillout, Future Bass and Electronica. With exquisite piano arrangements, soothing and blissful vocal samples, the Norwegian producer created a mesmerizing and emotionally-rich opus. Consider this just a sample though, because his full album will be available on May 26th on all streaming services and online music stores.

In Carl’s own words: “Β«IrisΒ» is a track about a fictional character named Iris which travels far from home but longs for what she left.“, this quote gives even more meaning to the song and gives a clear perspective of the journey that the song takes you on. No matter what kind of music you are into, I can’t imagine anyone not falling in love with the tender and enigmatic energy that Iris provides.

Stream Carl Louis – Iris below and get it this friday!Β  Also don’t forget to add May 26th to your calendar for his album launch via Toothfairy.

More about Carl Louis:

Growing up on the Nordic coastline, producer Carl Louis has spent much of his career broadening his musical horizons with a number of notable credits to his name. Originally a member of electronic duo CLMD, Louis co-produced a number of notable releases including β€˜Stockholm Syndrome’, which went multi-platinum in Norway and was also premiered on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show. Afterward, Louis left the group in 2014 to pursue his own personal ambitions.

Having spent the last few years producing singles for other artists, including ARY’s debut single β€˜Higher’, as well as releasing his own mini-album in 2015, Louis has now returned to deliver his latest full-length β€˜Memory Lane’.

While its title may suggest a more nostalgic sound, his latest material is a smorgasbord of contemporary influences and inspirations. With a largely classical direction, the mix of ideas and directions on his latest release are clear throughout.

Whether it is the β€˜Random Access Memories’-era Daft Punk sound of β€˜Human Being’ or the uplifting trip-hop style of β€˜Easy’, β€˜Memory Lane’ manages to gather together a whole range of sounds and is able to pull off a cohesive release.
