The new remix EP of Skysia’s album Overture is packed full of brilliant new takes on tracks from the original release, particularly the Skysia – Aperture (Murkury Remix). Taking the cool vibes of the original and injecting it with a fresh buoyant energy, the new Murkury deep & emotive Liquid DnB music remix of Aperture is bound to keep fans captivated from its atmospheric opening synths to what Skysia himself calls its “stunning, almost ethereal peak”.
Fans of Skysia (who was born Tanner Allen) will likely already be familiar with the original version of Aperture, which features the producer’s typical minimalist, downtempo sound along with energetic stabs of seriously heavy bass. This new Murkury deep & emotive Liquid DnB music remix, meanwhile, takes things in different direction without ever losing the blatant appeal of the original. For a start, the tempo is stepped up quite significantly, allowing Murkury to experiment with typical Liquid DnB tropes such as old school breakbeats and some mellow melodic elements. There’s also the “captivating rhythms” (labelled as such by Skysia himself) that Murkury employs so they “flow seamlessly into a weightless, cloud-like drop”, giving the Skysia – Aperture (Murkury Remix) a wholly transcendental feel. Elsewhere, the mysterious, almost eerie nature of the vocal samples Murkury uses keeps listeners’ levels of anticipation high, and make an effective contrast to the top-heavy breakbeats that give the track its strong pulse.
“I handpicked some of my favorite producers” Skysia said of this new remix EP of his album Overture. “7 incredible remixes that expand on the original so beautifully. Each track flowing perfectly into the next”. If this new Murkury deep & emotive Lidquid DnB music remix is anything to go by, then we certainly won’t be arguing with this assessment; the track has given a whole new lease of life, sounding strong as a standalone release but also making the perfect accompaniment to Skysia’s original track.
